unRaid does not boot in UEFI mode
October 16, 2021If you build a new Unraid server, upgrade an existing one or change the USB stick because the old one broke, Unraid may not want to boot anymore. First of all you should check if the Secureboot option in the Bios /UEFI is enabled. This should be disabled for Unraid.
There is an error that can cause this. Just plug the USB stick again into the PC and check if there is a folder with the name “EFI-“. If so, remove the hyphen and put the USB stick back into the Unraid server and start it normally. Now Unraid should boot normally.
